Laurence F. Knapp is a professor of film studies at Oakton Community College, Columbia College Chicago, DePaul University, and Harper College. He is the author of "Directed by Clint Eastwood" and editor of "Brian De Palma: Interviews"; "Ridley Scott: Interviews"; and "David Fincher: Interviews", as well as other publications. He remains fascinated by contemporary, post-classical Hollywood cinema and its influence on genre, authorship, star iconography, and audience comprehension.
