Jered was born in Great Bend ks in 1986. Graduating from Ellinwood High in 2004 he went on to play bass/tour regionally in his band Shaggy Green Carpet. Eventually he moved Lawrence to Wichita Ks in 2009 and finished his bachelor's degree in 2014 in Jazz Performance/Bass at Wichita State University. After seeing a few local video screenings he got involved in production design/bit parts in local film scene, helping with various local short films until producing a few on his own.

He has participated in Wichita's local Tallgrass film race 4 years in a row, winning audience choice award one year, best in show the next, and making top ten another time. To gain more experience with actors he began participating in local theatre, first at Wichita Community Theatre where he's played lead roles such as the inspector in Agatha Christie's "A murder is announced" and Peter Shaw in "Silent Sky" where he was nominated for a Mary Jane Teal award for "best male lead in a drama".

Jered has also co-directed several shows at Community theatre including "All my Sons" in 2019 and Savannah Sipping Society in 2018. The Kechi Playhouse has also been a wellspring of opportunity, allowing Jered to perform in several shows(2018) and even direct/act in a series of Tennessee Williams one acts in mid 2019. During all that time he's been making shorts of his own, focusing on writing/directing/editing while still studying film and participating in live theatre, fitting live music/musical theatre in whenever an opportunity presents itself.
