Ed Park directed his first film age 19 for the Sydney University Film Society, a feature called 'In Dreams'. The film explored a university student's distorted and fantastical self-image which proves fatal. It had a 3 day screening at the campus theatre with tickets selling for $2 each. Sitting at the back of the theatre, sensing the audience's engagement and emotion as they collectively watched the story unfold in the dark left an indelible impression.

He has produced and directed films that have screened in festivals in over 30 countries including the USA, the UK, Australia, through Europe (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Croatia, Portugal), Canada, South America (including Colombia) Japan and Russia.

A highlight as producer was helping bring to screen Ben Ferris' 'The Kitchen' which won the Grand Prix at the Akira Kurosawa Memorial Short Film Festival in Tokyo in 2005.

He wrote and directed 'Last Night' in 2008, shot on 35mm film which contained at the time the longest VFX laden live action single shot in an Australian short film. It had screenings internationally at festivals that have ranked in the top 25 best film festivals of the world list by Movie Maker magazine. The world premier was at the Rhode Island international Film Festival. Other notable festivals it screened at include the Long Island International Film Expo (USA), Perth Revelations Film Festival (Australia), Cornwall Film Festival (UK), California Independent Film Festival (USA) and the Anchorage International Film Festival (USA).

In 2019, he produced, shot and directed a visual tone poem about the humpback whale migration to Tonga. He successfully gained permission and licenses to use 5 pieces of music composed by Max Richter. It screened in 11 festivals internationally including Italy, Spain, USA, Canada, Mexico, Portugal and Serbia.

In 2024, he wrote, produced and directed the narrative feature film 'FrIEND'.

Ed also works as an emergency specialist in one of the busiest emergency departments in Australia.
