Alex Kahuam is an award-winning film director/writer/producer living and working in Los Angeles/CA whose work has been showcased at top film festivals around the world such as: The Cannes Film Festival (A-list), Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (A-list), SITGES International Film Festival (A-list) and many more.

In late December 2024 Kahuam wrapped his new upcoming psychological supernatural horror film "The Remedy" (post-production), starring: Timothy Granaderos (13 Reasons Why?), London Thor (Gen V), Doug Jones (The Shape of Water), Chris Mulkey (Whiplash) and Jenny O'Hara (Devil). The film is set to start its film festival circuit in 2026.

He is best known for his work on the critically acclaimed film Failure!, starring Ted Raimi. It was shot entirely in a single take (87 minutes), making him the first Mexican director in the history of cinema to accomplish a feature film with no cuts in the United States and one of the few directors globally to have successfully achieved this. The film was released in January 28th, 2025.

Other notable works he has are his third feature film Forgiveness (FrightFest World Premiere + 21 more selections), which had world-wide distribution in 50 territories theatrically and/or on VOD and the short film Red Light (Sitges World Premiere + 70 more selections), starring Ted Raimi.

His style has caught the attention of many film festivals, critics, and audiences around the world for the use of long takes and the tension that he builds in his films.
