Virgil Burnett (1928-2012) was an illustrator, author and a Fine Arts Professor at the University of Waterloo. He has been published in Europe and North America and was the recipient of the Fulbright Scholarship.

Although most of Virgil Burnett's work is in illustration, he place a great importance on the task of the illustrator to push boundaries and find new interpretations and meaning in art.
