His other novels include the YA zombie novel, Little Dead Man, the Bram Stoker Award nominated YA horror novel, Intentional Haunting, the middle grade sci-fi/horror series, ScareScapes, and the historical fiction/space opera mash-up series, Reign of Four, as well as Stone Cold Bastards and the Black Box Inc. series.

Jake has been writing for the Scary Horror Stories by Dr. NoSleep podcast since May of 2024 and has had over two hundred pieces published on the podcast with many more to come.

Jake built a large and loyal following early on by podcasting his first novel, Dead Mech, for free in 2009, garnering over 1,000,000 downloads. Jake's readership is in the tens of thousands, growing everyday with his activity on Substack where he releases a free drabble each Friday.

Jake lives in Asheville, NC with his wife and two cats (the kids have fled the coop). While Jake loves the mix of the eclectic attitude of the area and good ol' Southern hospitality, he really wishes the tourists would just go away.
