Lauri Levenfeld is an award winning writer/director whose work centers bold, poetic, female led storytelling through an intimate female gaze. A USC Film & TV Production graduate, one of two women in her cohort, Lauri's creative purpose was sharpened by a formative encounter while making a Nelson Mandela documentary. This experience convinced her that storytelling could be a tool for advocacy and transformation. She founded The Project for Women & Girls, Project Mentor, and Village Queens, global platforms that have supported and connected millions of women creatives. As CEO of AgentC, she has written and directed more than 30 microfilms and shorts. Her films are defined by a distinctive visual language and layered sonic design that build immersive cinematic worlds, stories where nature, memory, and ritual feel embedded in every frame. Lauri's recent long form work digs into psychological eco horror and feminist folklore, exploring spirituality, mental health, and the idea that darkness can catalyze growth. Her horror hybrid VESPERTINE (Director/Writer/Producer) interrogates trauma through cinematic psychedelia, queer longing, and mythic imagery to open urgent conversations about healing. Her award winning pilot MURDER OF THE WOLF (Writer) for the series ALL WE NEED reframes multigenerational trauma and supernatural revenge through a women centered lens, using nature and ritual as sites of power and moral reckoning. Levenfeld collaborates with cultural and trauma consultants to develop material and mentors emerging creatives through her initiatives, handling sensitive subjects with integrity. Across formats, her mission remains constant: to use the uncanny and the natural world to illuminate human truth and to elevate women's voices on screen and behind the camera.
