Federico Luis Tachella was born in Buenos Aires in 1990. He studied Social Communication at the University of Buenos Aires. In 2013, he co-directed "Vidrios", his school thesis that premiered at that same year's Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival. In 2018, he shot "Mirko", his first short film, which won the Audiovisual Award from the Argentinian National Endowment for the Arts and also premiered at Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival. His short film "La Siesta" (The Nap) won best short film at the 2019 Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival, had its international premiere at the Official Short Film Competition of the 2019 Cannes Film Festival and won an honorable mention for the best short film at Toronto Film Festival.
