Tina Thompson is a Euro-Afro-Latin writer with white looking privilege. She an undercover POC who was born in Riverside, CA, but raised in San Diego by her "spirited" Mexican grandmother. She began her artistic journey as a children's play director and moved on to writing twisty drama and comedy features.

She wrote and/or directed three produced plays including "Special Sauce", a frat boy comedy about a ghost that haunts a McDonald's. Next, Tina wrote/produced/directed three short comedic films with a mystery edge. She has also worked as a script supervisor and 1st AD on several sets.

Tina was accepted into the Nickelodeon Writing Program where she worked directly with network executives, took improv and sketch writing classes at UCB and learned at the feet of TV writing legend Fred Rubin.

Immediately following the Nick program, Tina joined the National Hispanic Media Coalition Writing Program where she worked in a dedicated writers' room. After NHMC, she wrote for a weekly sketch show at Second City, wrote/produced a web series based on her hooker mom/com pilot and released her dark and trippy comedy web series "Harsh Reality" along with new short films she wrote and/or directed.

Tina is probably writing a new script right now, pitching shows and raising her niece to love British telly as much as she does.
