Richard is a professional writer, narrative designer, editor and musician. Best known for his work as the brand writer of Assassin's Creed, a popular video game franchise developed by Ubisoft, Richard worked for a decade as a freelance writer, editor and game designer.

Before joining Ubisoft he worked on multiple smaller games, as well as wrote many novels based on RPGs (role-playing games), such as World of Warcraft and Legend of the Five Rings.

Richard Farrese, alongside Jill Murray, won a WGA award for his work on Assassin's Creed III: Liberation in 2013, for 'Outstanding Achievement in Video Game Writing'.
