Zombie Girl

Annakate Chappell is a native of Los Angeles. She began early theater training at the Adderley School for the Performing Arts, and dance training, under Colleen Neary, Yvonne Mounsey, and Julie Whittaker at Westside Academy of Dance. As a student, she had the opportunity to perform in Colleen Neary's masterworks including; Serenade, Symphony in C, Concerto Barocco, and classical works including Giselle, Paquita, and The Nutcracker. She also had the privilege of dancing with internationally acclaimed companies; Miami City Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theater, and Dance Theater of Harlem.

In 2007, she graduated from Crossroads School for the Arts and Sciences and was accepted to NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. At Tisch, she studied with contemporary choreographers Gus Solomons Jr., Cherilyn Lavanino, and Linda Tarnay. In addition, she danced with professional residencies; Keigwin and Co., David Dorfman, Battleworks, and Gina Gibney Dance. She received acting training from Linda Tarnay and Ben Steinfeld in addition to studying at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, New York. In 2009, she transferred to the Gallatin School of Individualized Studies to further incorporate film and theater into her curriculum. Her thesis and colloquium concentrated on the evolution of visual storytelling from Greek theater to the advent of the camera. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

She returned to Los Angeles in 2011 and began working with the Bilingual Actors Repertory Theater in Hollywood. Her debut performance was in the World Premiere of Dreams Factory/Fabrica de Suenos, written by Waldo Chavez Velasco and directed by Julio Villegas.

In 2013, she co-founded the artists collective and production company, The Astral Circle. She wrote, directed and starred in the collective's inaugural film, Revelations, which premiered at the Soho International Film Festival, and was selected for the Vancouver International Film Festival in September 2014. In addition to commercial and television work, she completed her second film, Empty Nest (2015) in 2015.
