Israel León Fájer (Mexico City, 1988) is an independent filmmaker, screenwriter, and performance researcher. He holds a degree in Communication and two master's degrees in Performing Arts. Since 2006, he has continuously written screenplays for film, television, and theater. His notable works include the short films "De Tierra" (2012) and "De Agua" (2013), both selected as part of the 8th Shortshorts Film Festival and SLP Rodando Film Festival.

His interest in theatre led him to present the stage-cinematic piece "Pasión en presente" (2016), an adaptation of Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream".

In 2019, he won the Pulsar Award for Best Graduate Essay, and in 2021, he published the article "Dissident Masculinities: Vulnerability as Resistance" in UNAM's Revista de Estudios Políticos. He has collaborated in several UNAM festivals, including the Aleph Festival of Art and Science (2021) and the Poesía en Voz Alta Festival at Casa del Lago (2022).

He has 15 years of teaching experience across various educational levels-the last 10 at the undergraduate and graduate levels-where he has taught courses in narrative, screenwriting, and directing, among others. He has developed, supervised, and written several film and television projects for different Mexican production companies.
