Alex Rafala graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Drama and a minor in Film Studies. He supplemented his training at Michael Howard Studios in New York City.

Alex has performed in theaters across the country and received praise for his regional turn as Billy Bibbit in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" and Duvid Pechenik in "A Shayna Maidel." He relishes frequent opportunities to play sensitive or troubled character roles.

Alex's first foray into writing and directing proved successful. His short film, "Farewell Old Stringy," lauded for its full heart and exemplary performances, screened as an Official Selection at film festivals nationwide, most notably the Virginia Film Festival.
