Walt Jaschek (pronounced ja-sheck) is an American comedy writer and performer who believes "life is worth laughing." His dedication to comedy runs through his work in film, shorts, comic books and comic essays. Walt survived a 35-year stretch as an advertising copywriter and creative director, creating award-winning, funny commercials for top national brands. Now semi-retired from the ad biz, Walt looks forward to writing and directing a new series of IMDB-worthy comedy. One example: he's on YouTube at waltchannel.com with a new series called "Walt Thoughts," a new kind of "silent stand-up comedy." A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Walt is a Virgo, a vegetarian, and a vertebrate.
