Timothy Giovanni is a native of Pittsburgh, PA. He graduated from Art Institute of Pittsburgh with a degree in visual effects and media arts with a concentration in film production. Tim began his animation career with internships at FOX and Animal, the same studio which pioneered lip-sync animation for digital animals talking in commercials.

From 2002 to 2005, he co-founded and operated Coffeehouse FX, a visual effects and animation boutique. Coffeehouse FX focused on animation, short films and commercials production within the Greater Pittsburgh area.

Since 2005, Tim has applied his animation and VFX talents to create commercials, independent films and support video game firms in Shanghai, China and internationally while acquiring experience using the latest cutting-edge software and animation tools.

In 2012, Tim met Pierre De Celles in Shanghai and together started Crashdown Studio as a boutique to work on a featurette for Richard Trombly, a Shanghai film director. The featurette boosted Crashdown Studio's presence in the Shanghai market and has been creating content for many clients since then.
