Anshul Tiwari is a UK-based Indian-origin film director, screenwriter, and film editor. A BIFA (British Indie Film Awards) Springboard fellow, he has created two feature films, five award-winning short fiction films, and nearly fifty documentary short films. His feature film "Before Life After Death" was selected at the Singapore International Film Festival 2022 and was acquired by Netflix Asia Pacific. His short fiction "Bin Bulaaye" was the Select Short at the Mumbai Film Festival (Jio MAMI) 2019 and garnered millions of views on YouTube. His documentaries have featured people with disabilities, women's trafficking, child sexual abuse, education, and marital abuse. Key works include - "Break the Silence" (Best Film, Shorty Social Good Media Award, Los Angeles and SIMA Social Impact Media Award) and "Rosario" (Best Documentary, IAFOR FilmAsia Japan).

With nearly 50 works over 15 years, Anshul has alternated between documentary, journalism, and fiction storytelling, sometimes blurring the lines between them. His fiction works are devised through extensive acting workshops, often feature non-actors, and use poetry as a vehicle for his deepest inquiries about death and the afterlife.
