Jimena Antoniello was born in Montevideo, Uruguay. She's a film and television screenwriter, storyteller and poet.

She studied Literature at UDELAR and completed a PHD in Ancient Christianity at the Complutense University of Madrid. She also has a master's degree in screenwriting (Escuela de Imagen y Sonido CES de Madrid) and a specialization in cinematography (New York Film Academy). Jimena also studied Journalism, Communication and Marketing.

She is the author of Everything That Must Die (SevenSistersPress, 2019), the poetry collection Entropy of the soul (Melón Editora, Argentina, 2012) and has participated in the stories compilation 22 Women (Irrupciones Grupo Editor, Uruguay, 2012). Part of her work has been included in creative magazines such as UNAM, Otro cielo, Letralia, Kundra, Specimens, Aaduna, A Literary Journal and Forth Magazine, etc. She has also published articles and reviews for media in Spain, Mexico, Uruguay and Argentina. She lives in the city of Los Angeles, California, where she works as a screenwriter for film and television.

Jimena has been awarded for some of her creative writing.
