Adrian Walters is an actor known for his commanding screen presence and emotionally raw, culturally resonant performances, all of which have positioned him as one of the most compelling leading men of his generation. Walters stars as Akai in the feature film It Comes in Waves, in which, according to Screenfish, he delivers "a tour-de-force performance." Screenfish went on to write, "His performance has announced him as one of the most compelling actors to break out in Canada this year." Vladimir Jean-Gilles from Rotten Tomatoes expressed, "That performance was out of this world. Walters tapped into something raw." The film premiered at the American Black Film Festival to rave reviews. It opened the Reelworld Film Festival’s 25th anniversary to a standing ovation and a sold-out audience. It became the first feature in Reelworld’s history to sweep five of seven major awards, including "Outstanding Actor" for Walters and "Best Feature Film." It went on to win "Best Feature Audience Choice" at OCan after an emotional five-minute standing ovation, and "Best Narrative Feature Audience Choice" in Birmingham. The film also screened at Tallgrass Film Festival, premiered in New York at the Oscar- qualifying Urbanworld Film Festival, and screened at Austin Film Festival, where Walters’ performance was praised as "a performance that is quiet yet seismic, lived-in, and devastatingly truthful." The film was championed by Karl Hartman and Big Indie Pictures, producers of the Oscar- winning film Manchester by the Sea.

Walters also stars as Daniel Collins in Out Standing, which premiered at TIFF’s 50th anniversary to a two-minute standing ovation. He made festival history by becoming the first actor ever to star in two films at Cinéfest Sudbury in the same year, with Out Standing winning the "Best Feature Audience Choice Award."

His work has been featured in Variety and Deadline Hollywood.

Walters’ television credits include The Handmaid’s Tale, Star Trek: Discovery, Dare Me, In the Dark, and The Porter. On stage, he earned a Dora Mavor Moore Award nomination for his debut in Judas Noir.
