Abhinay Banker, born and raised in Gujarat, India, is an actor, writer, and director renowned for his contributions to Gujarati theatre and cinema. He grew up immersed in the arts, which led him to pursue formal education in drama, earning a gold medal in Performing Arts for both his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. His early exposure to theatre sparked a lifelong passion, and he soon made a name for himself in the industry.

Abhinay's cinematic debut came in 2012, when he appeared as an actor and served as a casting director in the Gujarati film Kevi Rite Jaish. He followed his passion by venturing into screenwriting with the 2017 film Shubhaarambh, for which he received Gujarat State film Awards (Best Dialogue writing). His diverse body of work includes notable performances in National award winning feature film Reva (2018), Mijaaj (2018), Manto (2018), and Mara Pappa Superhero (2021), showcasing his versatility as an actor.

On stage, Abhinay has become a prominent figure in Gujarati theatre, with his breakout role in the critically acclaimed play Welcome Zindagi (2009). This performance marked the beginning of his journey as a leading actor in productions that have reshaped the Gujarati theatre landscape. His standout performances in plays such as Akoopar, Kasturba, Samudramanthan, Chalta Phirta Bambai, Jaane Who Kaise Log The, and the recent sensation The Gujarati musical theatre production Haji Kasam Tari Vijali has added yet another feather to Abhinay Banker's cap, further cementing his reputation as a leading figure in the world of Gujarati theatre.
