Joe Eshwar, is an Indian film director and screenwriter. Joe Eshwar's debut film as the writer and director is Kunthapura, a period drama set in rural India during the pre-independence era. Released in 2013, the film won him the prestigious Kerala Film Critics Awards. His second film, 8119 Miles, won him the prestigious Terni Film Awards 2021, was a Finalist at the Izmir International Refugee Film Festival 2022, and was a Winner at the 2021 Elizabeth Town Film Festival. The Response, a short film Joe Eshwar wrote and directed, was in the official selection of 'Liverpool Film Night' organized by FACT UK. He has also directed short films such as Mamma, Feathers and W House. Apart from commercials and features, Joe has also directed 72 documentaries. Joe Eshwar the Producer in charge of Europe, of Shalom World, a prestigious television channel based out of Texas, the United States. He has written and directed 15 episodes of the well-known 'Journal' series for Shalom World. Davpech The Trap is his third film. Joe Eshwar has also written a number of short stories for various publications as well as a book titled 'Tessellated Pavements'. He lives in England.
