Monfette grew up in Massachusetts as a life-long lover of genre fiction. He began his career as an entertainment journalist for mainstay geek institutions IGN and G4 and transitioned to writing/producing for film and television with Syfy's acclaimed time-travel series 12 Monkey. He's since worked for Fox's 9-1-1 franchise and the wildly celebrated third season of Star Trek: Picard. He's worked closed with horror icons Clive Barker and Stephen King in the feature space and adapted Barker's Hellraiser franchise into a critically lauded, eight-issue comic series for Boom Publishing. He is presently developing projects for Netflix and Marvel.
