Raised in Bozeman, MT, trained and performed in New York City, worked and created in Portland, OR, and recently relocated to Austin, TX, Niene has acted professionally for film, television, theater, and voice-overs for over 23 years. She specializes in character-acting for drama, comedy, sci-fi/fantasy, quirky commercials, and voice-over.

Niene spent nine years as a dancer before she came to know and fall in love with acting. Movement Arts have always been a tremendous outlet for her and continues to be a part of her life. Whether through yoga, ecstatic dance, Argentine Tango, kung fu, or aerial silks and static trapeze, freedom through motion holds great value to Niene.

Screenwriting and film-making have become a new passion for her. Immersed in rewrites of her first feature, new script ideas are continually coming to light and being archived for the near future.

Niene is an artist through and through. She cares greatly in the type of work she takes on, and the message it has to share with others. As her art is an extensive of her soul, she welcomes opportunities that inspire her personal growth as a strong woman and artist, as well as projects that lend their creative genius to making this world a better place. She is very passionate about work that unifies all races, vanquishes social and service inequities, empowers women and young girls, and lends compassion, non-conformity, and love to all who are different and march to the beat of their own drum.
