Konrad Tho Fiedler's Running Eagle, was awarded Best of the Northwest Short at the BendFilm festival in Bend, Oregon.

Running Eagle was also awarded Excellence in Film Editing at the Barcelona International Film Festival. It was an official selection at Raindance (London), Hawaii International (Honolulu), deadCenter (Oklahoma City), Red Nation (Los Angeles), Tribal Film Festival (Tulsa, OK), Oxford (Mississippi), Taos Shortz (New Mexico), and the Bigfork Independent (Montana) film festivals. Running Eagle is the prologue short film to a feature project in development.

Konrad was a cinematography fellow at the American Film Institute (AFI) conservatory in Los Angeles.

A former staff photographer for The New York Sun newspaper, Konrad's photographs of the crisis in Darfur are in the permanent collection at the Library of Congress and were nominated for Pulitzer consideration.

He attended McLean High School in McLean, Virginia and Columbia University in New York City.
