Emma Francisco believes in the power of cinema to inspire and empower people to create meaningful and positive changes in their communities. The first feature film she produced, Boundary by Benito Bautista won the NETPAC (Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema) Best Film Award in 2011 at the Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival and garnered multiple nominations including Best Picture at the Gawad Urian (Filipino Film Critics). She served as a contributing writer to the story development of the award-winning feature documentary Harana: The Search for the Lost Art of Serenade by Benito Bautista that won the Asian Network of Documentary award at the Busan International Film Festival and Audience Awards at the Hawaii International Film Festival, CAAM Film Fest, and San Diego Asian Film Festival's Spring Showcase.

She co-produced the critically acclaimed feature documentary A is for Agustin by Grace Simbulan (Udine Far East Film Festival European premiere) that is now distributed in multiple countries. Emma was also credited as one of the Associate Producers for the feature documentary film A Long March by T.S. Botkin that broadcasted on PBS nationwide in 2024. In 2024, the short narrative she produced Amazing Grace by Aiden Keltner received multiple nominations at the NATAS PSW Emmy Awards including Best in Arts/Entertainment Program, Best Director, Best Writer, and Best Performer.

Emma is the Managing Partner at Wanderlustproject Films. She co-founded the non-profit organization San Diego Filipino Cinema and serves as its Programming Director. San Diego Filipino Film Festival, presented by SDFC is home to the largest curation and exhibition of independent Filipino films in Northern America.
