Duncan St. Clair began developing his interests in film/video as a writer and photographer, then converged both of these talents in the making of his first documentary "Time of Dying (or Save the Smokies)" (2008) - a feature documentary about pollution, pests, and the National Park Service mission in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Duncan wrote, directed, and produced the documentary. He also narrated and reported on his meetings with governmental agencies and politicians through-out the film and conducted live interviews with subject matter experts.

Duncan continued developing his interests in film/video with "Marathon Movie" (2010), a documentary about running the 2009 ING New York City Marathon and raising money for diabetes research.

In early 2010, Duncan wrote his first narrative feature "Lovestruck ¡Pancho!". Pre-production began in summer of 2010. Duncan is the writer, director, cinematographer, editor, and producer. The film officially premieres September 16, 2011 in Charlotte, NC.
