Kathrin Menzinger was born in 1988 in Vienna, and started to dance at the age of six years. Very soon she became a successful Latin and Ballroom dancer, winning Austrian Junior and Youth Championships from 1999 to 2005 and in 2006 the Austrian Championship in 10 Dance (Latin and Ballroom). She also got into the Final of the Youth World Championship Ten Dance 2005 and the Semifinal of the World Championship Ten Dance in 2006. In 2009 she started to dance shows at various locations, mostly in Vienna, and in 2011 she was casted for the Austrian version of "Dancing with the Stars", called "Dancing Stars", where she teamed up with the Austrian Comedian and Journalist Dieter Chmelar.They managed to reach the 6th round of the Show, although they got the worst Jury marks in all Shows, but were supported by the votes of the public. In summer 2011 she took part, together with her Dance Partner Vadim Garbuzov, in the TV-production "Starnacht am Wörthersee" as a featured Dance couple. Apart from her Dance Sport career, she was again casted for the 7th season of "Dancing Stars", this time together with the Austrian TV-actor David Heissig. 2012 she also won the title of Austrian Show Dance Champion with her Partner Vadim Garbuzov for their performance of a Michael Jackson Showdance to his music titles "Dirty Diana" and "Out of my life", specially arranged by Thomas Rabitsch. With this show they also reached the final of the World Showdance Championsship in Peking. With the beginning of the year 2013 she was admitted to the Austrain army sports department, doing PR-Work on behalf of the army and for Dance sport. In the 8th season of "Dancing Stars" she was dancing together with Lukas Perman, an Austrian Musical Star. They reached he final show of the season and finished on third place. Together with him she also took part in the ARD TV-Show "Sommerfest der Volksmusik " with Florian Silbereisen, which was aired on 29th of June in Austria and Germany. In 2012 she started her second career as a choreographer, in two Musical productions of the "Filmhof Wein4tel" and the Viennese "Metropol". 2013 saw the world premiere of the stage adaption of the Danny Kaye classic "The Court Jester", were she and her Dance Partner Vadim Garbuzov provided again the choreography for the dance scenes. Another Highlight of her career was the participation in the New Years Concert of the Viennese Philharmonic Orchester on the 1st of January 2014, where she performed her very own choreography to the "Blue Danube Waltz" to an audience of over 50 million TV-watchers in more than 100 countries worldwide, again together with her partner Vadim Garbuzov. In the 9th season of "Dancing Stars" she teams up with the Austrian ski-Jumper Hubert Neuper.
