Hailing from Dallas, Texas Alexis Miranda was born May 26th. By the age of 12, she'd won talent shows, placed in writers contests, and was regularly cast in productions at the acclaimed Dallas Children's Theater. Alexis got accepted into the prestigious Booker T. Washington Performing Arts High School where she honed her talents in theater, music, and dance. There she studied among some of the nation's chief young artists under the guidance of teachers who'd previously instructed the likes of Norah Jones, Erykah Badu, & Roy Hargrove. Alexis Miranda relocated to Los Angeles to attend Loyola Marymount University as a theater major and eventually found her footing in the world of StandUp Comedy and Screenwriting. She records music under the moniker LEXtheGAWD and is a true performance artist on a trajectory similar to that of Donald Glover/Childish Gambino.
