Also known as Yael the DrumAddict, the Mediterranean Drummer, raised in New York, is currently living in Hi Desert, California where she and her husband (and dog, Baloo) built The Desert Dome Recording Studio. Starting to live out another shared dream for all musicians, continuing in the "Labor of Love" movement, echoing off the Love Project mentality, they also built a dome on site called The Om Dome. It is a DreamCloud Dome house with singing bowls and an infrared Sauna, accommodating musicians to decompress and to have a full desert experience, while Recording at Yael's studio.

The Dez Dome is surrounded by Joshua trees, perfect sky views and nature. When she is not on the road or hired out of town to record elsewhere, The Drumthrone is Yael's favorite office chair. The Vision to play drums with diverse musicians is simply duality to the incredible feeling comparable to playing to large crowds of humans with your own band. Your Music Family.

This introduction brings us back to how it all began for Yael. She was in Meanstreak for 3 days and her very first show was at L'amours in Brooklyn opening for Anthrax in front of 2,000 people. Not bad for a pizza delivery kid. Her very first serious band, Meanstreak is one of the many respected musicians, that have worked on their music at the Dez Dome. Drums and Vocals for the latest Blood Moon EP were recently recorded there. In 2022, "The Real Housewives of Heavy Metal" (3 meanstreak members are married 3 Dream Theater members) were back. They toured extensively across the US and in Canada opening for Petrucci's solo tour. In Feb 2024, they released some new recordings to the public for the first time in 3 decades. Their first week on Charts went from 50 - 22 and top 30 in the Metal Charts.

Yael the DrumAddict, is a Lifer. She has been the Notorious Sub for some of the biggest "drummers" and "band" names in the industry and has toured around the world since she graduated high school.

Along with producers, cinematographers and engineers, along the way, Music of all kinds has highlighted Yael Rallis as a drummer. This gave here another title at SXSW "the Music Whisperer" and pretty much when she evolved into the film festival world.

Yael created and directed her own DVD with the help of Drum Workshop DW and DrumChannel. As an Artist, we wear many hats to survive and even more to thrive. She also hosted her own show on DrumChannel called "Break Open Yer Head" and was a co host and guest with Terry Bozzio and Ray Luzier on DC Show, "The Art of Drumming".

The Love Project Journey is a documentary film that started out very small and as a Labor of Love featuring vignettes of artists doing what they do best. Writing Songs, Creating Art and Recording Music as the Cameras were rolling in and out of the studio settings.

This was before Facebook, Instagram and Tik Tok were controlling posts using algorithms. Music for Music's sake as is quoted by Producer, Nik Chinboukas in the film. That's what it is all about. After 4 years of collaborating with top musicians at their craft in some of the most epic studios East to West of the USA, including Dave Grohl's Studio 606, Spin in NY, DrumChannel, and so on, editing was a grueling process but The Love Project Documentary film was born.

Yael collaborated in bands that were signed to Century Media, Mercenary, Music for Nations, in the Metal World, headlining tours but went back on the road, subbing for Drummers like Shannon Larkin, (Ugly Kid Joe) , John Tempesta (Motor Sister), Viza, (American Gypsy Punk) Kail Baxley (Beneath the Bones Americana Residency), Fireball Ministry (John O), Bam Margera's triple threat tour, Fishbone ( Fish) Alternative Funk Metal, Divinity Roxx (Beyonce's bassist solo project) etc.

Fast Fwd to 2022 Post covid, Meanstreak reunited, Recorded and Released their new Charting EP titled Blood Moon by 2024.

"Life is a big Movie" Yael's passion for percussion began at an early age, influenced by a diverse array of musical genres ranging from classic rock to modern metal, She loves all genres of music and dives deep to generate the perfect groove whilst being dynamic in all her choices.

Love Project is an ongoing Journey and has opened many doors from Classical & Opera musicians, to DJ's and Electronica, Hip Hop, Gospel, Blues, Americana, Mediterranean and Non traditional instrumentation. The DrumAddict stays Open to all Ideas. She has been practicing Meditation and Yoga since 2008.

Yael also lived in Austria and Greece with her fiance in 2014. Once married, they also developed Project Dinner Club and Greek Adventures to collab. They host Motorcycle and Van Life tours of the Pelopenese region of Greece. Winery tours, Cook A Lot, and host musicians in this fashion all around.
