Abdu Dandridge is an independent filmmaker and founder of Pressure Entertainment Films LLC, a Phoenix, Arizona-based production company he established following the evolution of his earlier imprint, Pressure Productions (founded in 1994 in Brooklyn, New York). Originally from the Fort Greene projects in Brooklyn, Dandridge has built a career spanning more than three decades across film, television, music videos, and commercial production. He began his career in television as co-writer, producer, and director of the comedy series No B.S. Allowed, which aired for three years on Brooklyn Community Access Television (now BRIC TV). He went on to write multiple feature-length screenplays and direct music videos for a range of independent artists and labels, as well as content for established musician artist George Benson. His early work in animation, including Junior High and Brooklyn (1996), helped establish his foundation in storytelling, editing, and independent production. In 2009, Dandridge produced, directed, and edited his feature film "Pressure," which he wrote in 1993, released by CodeBlack Entertainment and later re-released in theaters in Brooklyn in 2018 and eventually internationally in over 50 countries through Entertainment Studios / Freestyle Digital Media in 2020. The film continues to stream across multiple digital platforms such as Apple TV , Freestyle Digital Media , Fandango , Amazon , Hoopla , Tubi Tv etc... His work has earned recognition, including a 2010 South Carolina Music Video Award for Best Video of the Year. Dandridge has also produced and directed development materials and commercial content for film and brand partners, including teasers for Cyber Kill, Pay Day, Luna for actor Isaiah Washington, and Bon Apétit, as well as (2) national commercial spots featuring NBA legend Tom Chambers for Yrefy, produced in collaboration with Lemonlight Productions. He continues to develop film and media projects through Pressure Entertainment Films LLC, focusing on narrative-driven, independent storytelling across film, television, and branded content.
