Dane was born in Laurelton, New York and moved to West Hempstead, New York at the age of 12. After high school he studied acting in college and worked with an acting troop, doing comedy skits throughout New York City. He then spent time working on personal interests involving singing, dancing, martial arts and training with the U. S. Marines.

After a brief hiatus, Dane returned to studying acting, particularly Meisner Technique at Matthew Corozine Studio and Improv acting at the Magnet Theater, both in New York City. He performed in "Clemenza and Tessio are Dead" at the Broadway Comedy Club as well as various theatre festivals in NYC. After working in numerous stage performances, Dane shifted his focus to film. He wrote, directed, starred in and produced films such as The Disk, Finite Betrayal and A Thirst for Eternity. Dane strives to bring intensity and physicality to his acting, focusing on edge of the seat action/adventure/drama type roles.
