Drayse Harman

William Reay was born in Newcastle Upon Tyne. He remained in the North East until he won a scholarship at Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London. He has worked with theatre practitioner Keith Johnstone for over a decade. He claims to have got the acting bug when, at the age of twelve, he played Pharaoh in a school production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat''. He has appeared in eleven professional Shakespeare productions including Sir Peter Hall's last productions 'Henry IV parts 1&2' and was part of the Chichester Festival Theatre cast who transferred to New York with their production of 'King Lear' starring Frank Langella. He created the role of Captain Kasprowicz in Henry Naylor's "The Collector" which won the Fringe First award in 2014 before playing at the Arcola in London and embarking on a UK tour. More recently he got to share the stage with his acting hero's in Auf Wiedersehen, Pet in front of 12,000 people in his native Newcastle. He will be appearing in Jamio Films feature "Boogey Man" when it is released later in 2020.
