Nancy Bannon, performer/writer/director, has written and directed multiple short films and is developing several feature film and episodic projects as well as live theater projects.

Her feature screenplays have been recognized by festivals, contests, labs including: Nicholl Fellowship (quarterfinalist 2018, 2017), Sundance Screenwriters & Episodic Labs (second round qualifier multiple years), NYWIFT development lab (fs2p), New York Stage and Film's Filmmaker Workshop, Slamdance Film Festival (grand prize finalist), more. Nancy was a finalist for the HBO Directing Fellowship, a Certain Age grant in honor of Lynn Shelton (2022 and 2020) and her short screenplay, "Blood" was published in The Southampton Review.

Original theater work (she conceived, wrote, directed) includes Cornfield, Puncture, The Pod Project (immersive events, NYC) and, as movement director, Romeo and Juliet (w/ Orlando Bloom) on Broadway and Murder Ballad at Studio Theatre (DC).

As an actor, Nancy has been in multiple film and episodic projects, Off-Broadway in Occupied Territories, a new play which she co-wrote (nominated for five Helen Hayes Awards) and played Anna in Mark O'Rowe's The Approach at Capital Fringe. Nancy is a former dancer and danced for over a decade with the dance companies of Doug Varone, Tere O'Connor and Lar Lubavitch.

Nancy is the recipient of three Princess Grace Awards, a New York Dance and Performance (Bessie) Award, multiple prizes and scholarships and is a graduate of The Juilliard School. She also spent a year in an MFA in Film program with Christine Vachon from Killer Films.

She's served on the faculties of SUNY Purchase, Rutgers University, American University and The Studio Acting Conservatory as well as teaches a year-long filmmaking workshop (screenwriting through film screening) for Wyo Film Festival.

She is proudly from Youngstown, Ohio.
