Meg Welch is a writer-director, and has made multiple micro and no budget projects and short films. Working with limited resources has made her a scrappy, adaptable filmmaker, willing to plunge ahead in order to tell her story and always be willing to try new things. Her joy in filmmaking comes from exploring relationships and the attempt to uncover what truly make us operate as humans.

Meg hails from Orange County, California and lives with her cat, Marty (named for Scorsese), and dog, Billy (named for Wilder).

In addition to filmmaking, Meg is a painter who has had art in several showcases in LA and Orange County, done multiple art walks and is an active member of a zoom Shakespeare group she and her friends began at the start of the pandemic.

She has a degree in filmmaking from Cal State University, Long Beach and attended the Act One Screenwriting program, where she remains an active part of the community.
