Denton Douglas has worked as a film and TV actor mostly doing some stage performance, stand up comedy and improv comedy for many years. For many of those years, he worked at Heat Casting and then started his own casting studio, Bob the Dog, in 2010. He cast various film, TV and commercials in JHB, Durban and Cape Town. Denton Douglas studied the Performing Arts at DUT (Durban University of Technology) where he majored in acting and dance. He danced professionally for a few years but his heart was in Film and TV. While his earlier years were spent mostly in front of the camera, he went on to explore other disciplines behind the camera. After joining the team at Heat Casting he found he had a passion and a knack for casting. On a very amazing afternoon in Johannesburg, in 2008 he met the producer of District 9 and well, as they say, the rest, is history.
