Kevin Cummins (born Manchester, England) is a British photographer known for iconic photographs of rock bands and musicians, including: David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Courtney Love, Patti Smith, Marc Bolan, Ian Curtis, Thomas Dolby, Michael Hutchence, Róisín Murphy, Morrissey, R.E.M., George Clinton, U2, Foo Fighters, The Clash, Buzzcocks, Sex Pistols, Joy Division, Oasis, Manic Street Preachers, The Stone Roses, The Smiths.

After studying photography in Salford for four years, Cummins started photographing rock bands in the mid-1970s in Manchester. Since moving to London in 1987, he has contributed to major UK publications, including: The Big Issue, Elle, Esquire, FourFourTwo, The Guardian, Maxim, Mojo, The Observer, Sleaze Nation, The Times, and Vogue. He had a 25-year association with the world's biggest selling rock weekly -- New Musical Express, including 10 years as their chief photographer.
