Jim Cotter is a broadcast journalist and film, TV, and radio producer and actor. He began his career in Ireland in the early 1980s before moving to the UK to work first for BBC Wales and then the BBC World Service.

Over the course of his career he has reported from Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Since immigrating to the US in 2001, he has been Arts Editor at WRTI, creating, and serving as host and managing editor of the award-winning weekly arts and culture radio show "Creatively Speaking". The show has been the recipient of several awards and commendations including two Philadelphia A.I.R (Achievement In Radio) awards, an Associated Press first prize for radio and an Excellence in Broadcasting award from the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters.He is also a current Knight Foundation Arts Challenge laureate. In addition, Jim has helped produce concert broadcasts for the Philadelphia Orchestra, Symphony in C orchestra, and The Crossing choir. Jim has also been an adjunct journalism professor at Temple University teaching broadcast documentary.

Jim is CEO of Panavista Inc., a successful independent film and television production company based near Philadelphia.
