Ambika has worked behind the scenes for over 15 years as a producer, director, 1st AD, and editor, creating hundreds of hours of film and digital content. After starting her career with Academy-Award-winning producer Mark R. Harris as a development executive, she began her own development and production company, On Purpose Pictures, and has developed and produced features, documentaries, shorts, web series, promos, and live-streamed events, including in-depth interviews with over 30 Emmy-nominated actors. She ran development for Emmy-nominated director Stephen Gyllenhaal's company, and throughout her multifaceted career has worked with Apple, Sony Pictures, Nike, PBS, RED Digital Cinema, CNN, National Geographic, DirecTV, LEGO, Nu Boyana Studios, and the DGA Women's Steering Committee, as well as with actress/producers Lisa Kudrow, Gabrielle Anwar and Catherine Oxenberg, Grammy award-winning musicians India.Arie and will.i.am, and many others. Her documentary THE MAKING OF DRIVEN, featuring Jason Sudeikis, premiered at the Venice International Film Festival. She also mentors filmmakers and youth, works with clients as a copy editor and script doctor, and is perennially in development on a diverse slate of film & TV projects with major production companies, creatives and partners.
