Raúl Martínez was born in 1971 in Ciudad de México, México. Having worked in the advertising industry for thirty years, he had the breakthrough opportunity to direct the comedy The Patriarch (2016) for Panorama Global. Since then, he has directed six other films: The Waiter (2019), Cuando Sea Joven (2019), Grumpy Christmas (2020), Permitidos (2021), La Posada (2023) and Chica Conoce Chico (2024). Since 2019, Raúl is also one of the Directors of the social media phenomenon: Backdoor (Distributed by Viacom CBS Networks Americas). Previously he worked as Editor in the film Bad Habits (2007) by Simon Bross and as Supervising Editor in two films for All About Media: El Que Busca Encuentra (2017) and Treintona, Soltera y Fantástica (2016). He is the grandson of Raúl Martínez Solares, Cinematographer in over 250 films.
