Randy was born and raised in the suburbs of Worcester, Massachusetts. Like most kids, he participated in school plays but never auditioned for one by choice. That changed the summer before his senior year of high school after he saw his junior prom date sing and dance her way through a community theatre production of "South Pacific." She suggested that he audition for the upcoming fall production of "Bye Bye Birdie." Randy was cast as a small role in the show and, while the relationship that inspired the adventure would soon fizzle, a love affair with the theatre was born.

Randy would go on to attend Franklin Pierce University where he would perform at the American College Theatre Festival and co-found a fledgling Performing Arts Club on campus. He spent half his sophomore year studying abroad, receiving a crash course in classical acting and then performing in "Andromache" on the London stage. He would also dip his toe...okay, more like jump with both feet...into film production by co-writing, co-producing and co-directing an award-winning short documentary and an award-winning feature length film.

After graduating from college with a degree in Communications, Randy worked full-time in television as a Production Assistant and part-time as a Staff Writer for a local newspaper. After a short-lived fling with the dot-com world, he turned his attention to acting and performed in dozens of plays and independent films across New England and New York. Highlights include his Equity debut in the New England area premiere of "Castro's Beard" with the Barrington Stage Company, the American premiere of "Bella Donna" with the Devanaughn Theatre and fulfilling a dream of performing with the professional theatre that was almost literally in his back yard when he donned the Elizabethan tights for a production of "A Christmas Carol" with Foothills Theatre.

Finally, with no small amount of prodding by his wife, Randy packed up his family and headed out west for Hollywood in 2009.
