Dani Menkin is a 30+ time award winner for his films. As the Israeli Academy Award winner for '39 Pounds of Love' and 'Is That You?', Menkin's fiction and documentary filmmaking is world-renowned. Born in Israel, Menkin's stories include Middle Eastern perspectives, but his filmmaking includes topics broader than that region. He has directed films on everything ranging from basketball teams to underwater photography. Picture of His Life, a recent documentary of Menkin's (co-directed with Yonatan Nir), has received dozens of worldwide awards. Similarly successful, 39 Pounds of Love was sold to HBO and was shortlisted for the Oscars.

In addition, Dani Menkin's award winning film 'Dolphin Boy' (co-directed with Yonatan Nir) was sold to over 20 countries around the globe and was bought by Disney for adaptation. 'On the Map' is being distributed by Lionsgate in North America.

Dani Menkin is a speaker and film juror at International Festivals around the world, as well as a film professor in universities in the U.S. He created and currently runs film production company 'Hey Jude Productions' , as well as runs a non-profit dedicated to producing heart-warming stories.
