Actress Yana Yanezic was born in Slovenia (former Yugoslavian republic) to a medical scientist (mother) and technologist-inventor (father). She started performing in ice-skating and ballet performances at the age of eight. Yana studied at Ballet Academy of Ljubljana-Slovenia, London Studio Centre UK, Royal Academy Of Dancing UK and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. She started her career as a professional dancer in Slovenia, which extended to UK when being offered a talent sponsorship.

Yana studied academics at Poljane Grammar School in Ljubljana - Slovenia, and at University of Ljubljana - Slovenia where she accomplished a degree in Economics.

She speaks fluent English, Slovenian, Serbian, Croatian, conversational Italian and Russian.

On the sports ground Yana is a Tae-Kwon-Do gold medalist and a passionate ice skater. She turned to acting after an extensive dance career.
