Michelle received her Master's Degree from the University of Southern California, School of Cinema-Television where she studied Directing and was guided by film and television greats, such as Jeremy Kagan, James Keach and Bob Jones.

Before attending USC she received her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Communication at the University of Delaware where she finished at the top of her class.

Michelle's short film, Such Great Joy, won best short film at the Melbourne Queer Film Festival in Australia and signed with Wolfe Video in regards to its distribution.
