Mina Kamouie is an English/Persian actress; she is a United States national with Iranian origin. She has migrated to the US on student visa and completed her graduate studies in Economics in 2015. She then taught Economics at renowned higher education institutions such as Ohio University and Chapman University - College of Business. Since 2018 she began pursuing her long-time passion for theatrical arts, and by 2020 she completely switched to pursuing acting as her main career.

She studied acting at Stella Adler Academy of Acting, Los Angeles under the supervision of several world-class instructors. She has performed various plays, including "Barefoot in the Park", "Italian-American Reconciliation", "Rabbit Hole", "A Doll's House - Part II", "Closer", and "Anna Purna", among others.

She is the lead actor and producer of the short film "The Negative" which tells a story of an immigrant Iranian artist. Mahtab (Mina Kamouie), a former member of an Iranian avant-grade theater group, visits Iran after fourteen years. She finds her friends, the other members of the avant-grade theater group, who did not migrate, in disturbing situations. The characters of the story represent different segments in the modern Iranian society, with Mahtab representing immigrants who left their homeland despite their desire to stay.
