Dutch singer, who became a star on radio in 1948. She scored a big hit with the song: "ik zal je nooit meer vergeten" in 1958. In 1963, she was the Dutch entry at the Eurovision song contest. Her song: "de speeldoos" finished 13th in the competition. Soon afterward she became very popular as "Drika, the farmers wife" on radio and on stage. She played that role successfully for many years. She died in 2000, after a long illness.
