Born in Southern California, creating short movies while growing up Tyler attended film classes in High School continuing to make short films including one screening at Best Fest America in 2008 in the Horror/Thriller category. Briefly studied film at Cal State San Marcos and then proceeded to make a few more shorts before moving to Portland, OR in 2015. While in Portland Tyler started working with Monsieur Soeur, assisting on projects during film races including: 48 Hour Film Race, Lovercraft Under the Gun 72 Hour Film Race, and more. Over the years he has assisted and led in many different roles: Directing, Writing, Acting, Editing, Animating, and Art Department. In addition to working with Monsieur Soeur Tyler has also worked on individual shorts with other teams including: Zindoscosicilia (2015), Yiamboa (2019) and Bestill the Fabric (2018). Most recently with Monsieur Soeur: The Light of Your Life (2022) won Best Film 1st Place at the 48 Hour Film Festival in Portland, OR as well as Best Art Direction, Best Musical Score, Best Sound Design, Best Use of Character and Best Writing. Tyler served as Editor on this film and sound design with the music being composed by Matthew Flook.
