Lobat Asadi is a bilingual (Farsi-English) actress known for portraying complex, emotionally layered women across drama and comedy. Her recent film credits include Snatched as a crime boss and Crossfire as a rogue cop challenging the system. She's appeared on numerous television shows and had multiple appearances on the award-winning Dhar Mann web series, portraying mothers who are navigating cultural clashes. Born in Iran and raised in the US, Lobat discovered her love of acting as a child while watching Dallas and Young & the Restless, to learn English alongside her parents.

Lobat is a part of the Groundlings, Core Track, for improvisation acting and sketch writing. She is also trained in the Meisner acting method. Lobat brings her depth of experience with her signature authenticity, as well as intuitive comedic timing and great emotional intelligence to every role she inhabits. She thoroughly enjoys the entire process of role playing - from auditioning to preparing for a role by engaging in research, having hands-on experiences, method acting, and more.

Also, an academic, Lobat, holds a doctorate in performance arts-based education from Texas A&M University, and she adjuncts for Harvard University online. She has authored two books and numerous journal and newspaper articles. In fact, Lobat's most recent book, Marita the Cheetah, a heartwarming children's story inspired by her father's rescue of an endangered cheetah cub in Iran, will be published in late 2025. Pre production of an animation of Marita the Cheetah is also underway. Lobat also supports Asiatic cheetah conservation as an advisor, narrator, and has a documentary in pre production about the rare breed of cheetahs, which only exist in Iran.

With such diverse life experiences and her dedication to personal and artistic development, Lobat is sure to bring memorable performances to film and television.
