Paula Neiman is a Los Angeles-based producer, screenwriter, playwright, and filmmaker with over two decades of experience in the entertainment industry. Working across film, television, and theater, she has developed a diverse body of work spanning more than two dozen projects.

Her credits include an Audie Award-winning audiobook with HarperCollins, the feature film Straight Out, and her directorial debut Within the Wall, a short film starring Omari Hardwick that received multiple festival accolades.

Neiman’s early screenplay Grande Central marked a turning point in her career, leading to its stage adaptation and laying the groundwork for Central Avenue, a long-form project rooted in the cultural history of Los Angeles.

Her theater work includes Nat Turner: Following Faith, featuring Chad L. Coleman and Roger Guenveur Smith, and the musical The Ride, co-written with Frank Underwood Jr. She has also produced one-person shows including Burn (starring Ingez Rameau) and I Am Not Sam (featuring Tom Sizemore).

Her film From Fist to Knee, which explores the 1968 Olympic protest of Tommie Smith and John Carlos, premiered at the Pan African Film Festival and screened at festivals nationwide.

In addition to her creative work, Neiman has spent over a decade mentoring incarcerated youth through InsideOUT Writers, supporting the development of voice and storytelling as tools for personal expression and change.
