Justin realized his passion for writing, while creating short stories at an early age. Justin earned his Bachelor's degree in Philosophy at the University of Southern Maine, which helped him enhance his storytelling abilities by exploring philosophical themes. After college, Justin immersed himself into screenwriting, with a focus on developing character driven stories.

While doing script coverage work for Austin Film Festival, Justin connected with producers and directors, Molly Mayeux and Jay Dee Walters to polish scripts from their produced screenplays, including the 2014 coming of age film Chasing Ghosts starring Tim Meadows.

Justin went on to co-write the Christmas sports comedy, Grumpy Old Santa with Jay Dee Walters. The film stars Glenn Morshower, Gary Valentine and Kevin Farley and was released in September 2023.

Justin co-wrote the Christmas crime comedy, Porch Pirates with Jay Dee Walters and the film was directed by Jeff Hamm and released in 2024.

Recently, Justin co-wrote the sports comedy Pickleball with Jay Dee Walters. The film is directed by Jeff Hamm and stars Kevin Farley, Jay Dee Walters and Glenn Morshower.
