Tim Kirby trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in the early '80s, emerging to front Indie Rock bands 'Diatribe' & 'The Cabal' while pursuing a career in TV and radio after a brief foray into Theatre in 84-85. Hampered throughout the 80's and 90's with alcohol and drug addiction, he retired as an actor in 2002, returning briefly to appear in the Stephen Parson' film 'So Christian Youth' in 2007. Tim Kirby voiced scores of TV and radio commercials in the 80' & 90's as well as appearing in national TV campaigns for the RAC, Tennents Lager & Samson's Bitter. He appeared in 'The Bill' on 6 occasions playing an assortment of villains, repossessed a car from Frank Butcher in 'Eastenders' and appeared in Spender, The Knock, The Britass Empire, American She Wolf of London, The Savage Land, Rough Magick and The Knock. After getting clean and sober in 2001 he continued to work as a presenter & voice over while switching roles in the TV industry from Actor to Editor, cutting trailers, promos, inserts, packages and long form music shows for Sky TV and working in re-edits of marquee shows for ITFC, TVC and Deluxe Media for broadcast on ITV, Channel 5 and UKTV.
