John Cross (Born December 2, 1977) is an Australian actor who has appeared in numerous independent and feature films, soap operas, and national ad campaigns. He is best known for his appearances in the Australian hit soap opera Home and Away, for his work on Moulin Rouge (2001). Cross landed the role of Lieutenant Markos in the 2014 Blockbuster Hercules: The Thracian Wars, where he lead an army of 5,000 strong, and shared the screen with "A" list actors such as Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson,Peter Mullen, and Director Brett Ratner.

Cross is a master swordsman and maintains a blue belt in Tai Kwan Do. In addition to his evident physical strength, he relies on his undeniable charm. One of his greatest inspirations is the man who has done it all, Arnold Schwarzenegger. John inspires himself by setting high goals and accomplishing these through his immeasurable determination.

Though Cross has acquired great success as a result of his continued persistence, he has faced uncertainty in his career choice. He overcame this hurdle by realizing that any other profession would be "obscene" for him. In 2014 Cross worked on an independent film directed by Ben Medina called Safari Club, and continues to expand his entertainment resume and add credits for his contributions to multiple national and international productions.
